Errol Spence Jr. has confirmed he will finally meet welterweight contender Terence Crawford in one of boxing’s most anticipated bouts this summer.

Last month, the fight was finally announced, as the two will headline a pay-per-view card from Sin City. Earlier this week, they held their first press conference for the event.

At presser, it was clear that the two men had vastly different personalities. For his part, Terence Crawford stayed focused and talked about his legacy from the competition the following month. Errol Spence Jr., meanwhile, was more modest but still promised to smoke his opponent in July.

Spence knocked out Yordenis Ugas to clinch the WBA crown in April 2022 and pound-for-pound dominance awaits the winner.

“The wait is over, it’s game time,” Crawford said in a video on social media. “Errol Spence Jr., Terence Crawford, July 29, Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Everybody come out, show support and watch me fry this fish.”
On Instagram, Spence wrote: “Finally giving the fans what they want.
“It’s a throwback fight on paper but it could be a one-sided a** whooping, one of the biggest fights of the century.”
